April 5th. Talked about the book, she feels its a little bit below her level me too, so we agreed on working on the more challenging activities and give a quick review on the easier ones so she can learn the little things she doesnt know and improve what she knows. Started Lesson 11, Practices 1-4 covered also watched What not to wear video on page 7 and went through the vocabulary. We agreed on practice over her pronunciation a lot so she gains more confidence with clients. Class was nice. She is in really good disposition to learn.
April 7th. 90 min. Talked about flip flops, went through vocabulary from page 8-11 and covered Lesson 11 summary. We worked a lot on her pronunciation. Class was very good eventhough we covered lots of information.
April 11th. 90 min. Started the class with very good news she told me she had a long conversation with a client and felt more confident during it because of the practicing of her conversation so we started Lesson 12. Conversation, Practice 1-3 covered, only went trhough the vocabulary from page 17-20 also worked on the Im all ears activity on page 18 and the Far beyond activity. I also felt her pronunciation improved. Nice class.
May 12th. 90 mins. Lesson 13 covered did a quick review of all practices and its vocabulary worked on the far beyond activity and the lecture on page 42 A hotdog with the works also started lesson 14 worked on practice 1 and 2 as well as the im all ears activities 1a and 2a ahe asked me to check two e mails she sent to a client I found out she needs to improve on writting. Nice class.
Thur 26th. 90 min. Worked on practice 4 and 6 also extra activity no.6 and the lesson summary. We also started lesson 15 went through the conversation, Practice 1 and 3, and the Far beyond activity. Class was nice but she was a little tired. We agreed to meet on Tuesdays at 5 30 so I can have my other class at perisur at 7 30.
Tue. June 7th. 90 min. Worked on the sharing an apartment audio, the how to sell your house video on page 7 and answer the questions about context. We also worked on Practice 5 and the exercises on page 10 and 13. Class was good.
Tue. June 14th. 90 min. Worked on the exercise on page 11 and the blockbuster video surprisingly she struggled a little with it, also answer the exercises on page 12 and worked on the song Bizarre Love triangle by new order, I asked her to write me down the sentences she could listen on it to practice her writting skills she did fine but still need to improve on how to write full sentences in order. We finished with the Lesson summary. Nice class.
Wed. June 15th. 90 min. We agreed to meet tuesdays at 6 pm and wednesdays at 5 30 pm. Worked on Lesson 16 went through the conversation and practice 1 and 2. Also worked on the Ellen D. video and went trough the whole activity she did really good, we finished with the Boys dont cry song by the cure. Class was nice she is improving her pronunciation but still need to work on her use of time in verbs and in make her speak more fluid. Nice class.
Tue. June 21st. 90 min. Talked about the Las Vegas and The Ellen D. backstage videos. Worked on the far beyond activiy on page 20 and 21. We both struggled a lot with it. Nice class.
Thur. June 23th. 90 min. Worked on the put on writting exercises on page 21, the wilson picket audio and other activities on page 22 and 23, also the fay beyond acivity on page 25 and the im all ears activity on page 24 (we just worked on the half ot it). We both struggled on the far beyond acivity finding the place on the map again and a little bit on the Far beyond acivity questions. She asked me work on the correct use of prepositions and the ing ending. Nice class.
Sept 29th. 90 mins. The exercise about jane goodall. Was entertaining for her and forced her to talk. She had some trouble understandng, but took notes and made sure she got the right meaning from words. We briefly talked about her trip to wisconsin. Last thing was the audio about hotel reservations. An OK class, but it's difficult to have a plan for each class.
Oct 14. 90 mins. About her trip to Miami and Wisconsin. Solving doubts about expressions used. Next class we'll see her manual from the seminar about paper in Wi. She also has a couple of videos about logistics.
