Wed Nov 24th. 90 minutes. Started with L2. Had trouble undestanding the main dialogue. He said it doesn't sound correctly although it's not so bad. My guess is that that's what happens the first lessons. Seems too fast, too difficult to understand the audios. Also L2 Pr1 and Pr2 with people from different places and flags.
Tue Dec 1st. 90 minutes. L3Pr4 with adjectives to describe pictures. Basically saw pictures from actors. Talked about her daughter's school and how she managed to be proficient in English.
Fri Dec 24th. 120 minutes. Talked about traffic in Beijing again from an article in the NY times. Also saw the video from Copenahgen to have further practice and talk about safety tips for biking in big cities.
Mon Dec 27th. 120 minutes. Page 33 and 34. Spent time with the possesives exercise on page 35. Also talked about his previous experience as a coach. Final review from L4.
Tue Jan 11th. 60 mins. Made plans for the following month, including the things that have to be accomplished so far, the written exercises required from now on so he can improve his listening skills.
Tue Mar 9th. 90 mins. the beers per capita exercise with great level of comprehension compared to most people who have done this exercise. Also the panphlet about car seats in Ireland. So good he kept a copy as another reference for what he does.
Wed March 10th. The eating fast food exercise. Saw the vocabulary, listened to the dialogue and answered the questions. Further practice with "swing by". Practice 4 was probably done on march 9th too. Saw the lesson summary too.
Thu March 24th. L6 review. Swing by expression, vocabulary and ordering food. also talked about his trip to Peru. Maintains a basic but fluent conversation, so we keep things improving.
Fri april 1st. 90 minutes. Finished book 1 review, probably except for the possesives which need further practice. Ready for a exam sometime next week.
Mon. May 30, 75 minutes class. Adjectives about people from L7 Pr4. Saw a few pictures and talked about people in mx in general, from his point of view.
Wed June 8th. 60 minutes. Emoticons and the all ears exercise with the pictures. Productive class indeed, had extra practice with pictures available from L7.
Thu Jun 9th. 60 minutes. Practice get along and talked about family and marriage. He's very intuitive with the language. His biggest problem is comprehension so far.
Tue Jul 12th. 90 minutes. Spent time with the pamphlet about kids going to school from the safety road org from Ireland. Also spent some more time with occupations.
Nov 28th. 60 mins. L9 football players and video about sports. He thinks those audios are not clear enough. The truth is, he's failing to take a listen to the audios so he never understands as much as he should (considering how much he can already communicate.
