Pamsa Teca

Thu July 15. Intro, details about the course and meeting each other. Started L1 Intro. Everyone in class.

  1. Mon July 19th. L1 Pr1, Pr2 and Pr3. Vocabulary in the kitchen and in the office. Jonathan is the one with the least knowledge, but he's making a good effort. Jonathan and Fernando are roomates. They're from Uruguay. Magda, Victor and Fernando have a good understanding. Isa is doing OK. Next class to finish L1.

  2. Thu July 22nd. L1 Pr4 and used video about paris to practice there is and there are. Also L1 Pr4. Did class really by the book. All of them in class.

  7. Mon Aug 23rd. Jona not in class, class at the studio. For some reason, they were more distracted in this place. L3 Intro and Pr1. Warm up: things in this new place (coffe table, couch) and commands (point to, show me, pass me...).

  8. Thu Aug 26th. Warm up: I may visit...; Review L3Pr1 wih more pictures and sentence structures. L3Pr2 with places and a few addresses. Everybody in class, more productive and focused today.

  15. Mon Sep 20th. 90 minutes. Jona not in class and Magda for just 40 minutes. L4Pr3, Pr4 and Pr5. More vocabulary with pictures from Pr3. Class was in the other room at first. That room is so confortable we don't like it. Karla needs an update about how they're doing.

  16. Wed Sep 22nd. 90 minutes. everybody in class. L4 Pr5 and Pr6. Far Beyond and circle the answer. Lots of practice with possesives. Isa got it right considering she had trouble the previous class.

  18. Thu Sep 30th. Finished far beyond exercise. Did Page 34 and spent quite some time with the possesives exercise. Went over the lesson summary.

  23. Mon Oct 18th. 90 minutes. Did the rest of L5 including an audio about the walking tour in London. Looked at the London map too and asked questions about it.

  26. Thu Oct 28th. 90 minutes. L6 Pr4 and got started with the eating fast food podcast. THe 21st was the song, not the exam.

  27. Mon Nov 1st. 90 minutes. "eating fast food podcast". Nice way to work with it 'cause it was fun to work with this "swing by" thing. Did the rest of the lesson, vocabulary included.

  28. Thu Nov 4th. 90 minutes. Fer not this class nor the previous. L7 intro and video about the old spice guy. Not their favorite cup of tea, so I guess it's a difficult exercise to work in class.

  29. Mon Nov 8th. 90 minutes. Fer not in class. L7 Pr1 and Pr2 and Pr3. Saw the pdfs. Fun class. I was a bit more strict because it's important they don't speak Spanishh in class. Isa is an easy learner. Johna struggles, but he's on track.

  30. Thu Nov 11th. 90 minutes. L7 pr4 taking a look at many adjectives to describe people. Also the emoticon exercise and the check in at the airport.

  31. Wed Nov 17th. 90 minutes. The get in touch listening exercise, the complete the conversation about the girlfriend in London which by the way took long to finish. We also did the "family" exercise from Sesame Street and follow the conversation.

  32. Mon Nov 22nd. 90 minutes. The wrappping up a conversation exercise for probably good 45 minutes. Also had further practice with vocabulary from L7 summary and having more practice with family members.

  33. Thu Nov 29th. 90 minutes. L8 Intro and Pr1 and 2. Pr1 was OK with furher practice using the common phrases. Pr2 had to do with what they do at Pamsa.

  34. Mon Nov 29th. Previous record was from Nov 25th. Anyway, this class we had more practice with what they do at Pamsa. L8 Pr3 (free time activities. Also exercise from page 26. THe exercise from Page 28 was done in class, but they had doubts. They want a song and I promised practice with markets.

  39. Mon Dec 20th. Lesson summary and lots of time practicing with present tense and time expressions. Ready for exam the first week of the year. (L5 thru 9).

  40. Mon Jan 3rd. 90 minutes. Quick review present tense versus present continous using the video fron ESPN. Worked out real well.

  42. Mon Jan 10th. 90 minutes. Exam and corrections to it. Magda, Victor and Fer did quite OK, Isa was very dissapointing compared to how much she understands in class and Yona is not doing very well at all.

  45. Thu Jan 20th. Class for 105 minutes. The T sound video for 45 mins or so. Also the exercise on page 52 for furtther practice.

  46. Mon Jan 24th. Class for 105 minutes to compensate the 1 hour class on the 17th. THe way you look exercise in this class. Also page 48 talking about the married couple.

  47. Thu Jan 27th. 90 minutes. The green Gorilla, the oscars and the chores at home. Last class paid, they said they could pay for the class (now the class is paid by the company), but didn't make up their mind then. We'll wait and see.

  48. Feb 14th. The company had layoffs, some of the guys in class lost their job, we'll keep in touch with Fer and Magda to resume anytime soon.
