Nov 22nd.  90 mins. Has been in Mx for 2 years now. He has a project to cover during the Summer Olympics in London.  Talked about introductions using cooking 101 and types of work. Both were easy for him. Need to bring interesting stuff for class (marketing, fashion, wines, parties). He has Lesson 11-14 intermediate class, but we will hardly use it.

Oct 21st. Sandra Loyola. 90 mins. 1st session. L14 intro and Pr1. Sharing class with Hebert who is like the webmaster at SSP from federal govnmnt. They speak very  little, but the course level is adequate. 3.1 for 1st 8 sessions.

Mariana Chef.

Oct 21st. Mariana. 1st session. She's a chef at Hda de los Morales restaurant. Gave her material for L11, 12 and part of 13. Explained to her the purpose of the course. Showed examples of videos to be used in class (searing meat video) and saw the denny's menu. Went thru some basic vocabulary related to cooking. Explained to me what she does.

Group Class FCuevas Basic

Mon May 30. Just 1 person in class (Oscar). 1st class in tlaxcala, not Felix Cuevas. A bit hard to find a table, and that place at that time's too noisy. He said he was distracted in a place like that, i don't think he sees value in taking classes like this. He interrupted the class 20 minutes before it was over because he felt he needs to study the material. Next class is supposed to be on felix cuevas.

We got started with Ma del Carmen only. Carmen's session #1. Talked about apartments, and she needs to listen to the audio about sharing an apartment and the video about buying a house. Other options: the one about doppelgangers and any others she'd like.

Tue Feb 1st. After 3 months when he first made contact with us, he got started with the classes. Fco is a busy guy, so we're going to struggle. He can have an easy converation, he probably reads in English, but he doesn't have in mind listening at the i-pod, so I got to persuade him to do so. No book this class, so we talked about what he does. Works with government.

Luigi Style

Wed Feb 2nd. Agreed to start tomorrow. He's from Venice, but he now lives in town. He's good at languages so this class should be a breeze for him.

Priscila Fashion

Tue Feb 1st. Agreed on starting Feb 9th. I need to get interesting material for what she does for a living. Media, fashion, marketing are among the topics to talk about. She needs practice to improve although her English level is not bad at all.
